I take a deep breath of the Universe
and wonder at how
we can ever take this infinite energy
and put it to work in our lives


can we absorb this miracle of being
and make sense of how it all works
or just accept that there is a greater meaning
to this Creation that gave us birth


and the Cosmos speak to us
in so many ways we can receive
in these words that communicate
the mystic Spirit that speaks in everything


and can we touch each other’s souls
can we understand our destiny
and find some meeting place
that this Cosmic energy does bring


and together we all seek to find
some happiness and light
and the breath of the universe
connects us one day with God

to that Source of all of life
