We came from heaven on high
And now walk here on earth
And sometimes we forget the reason why
and there is this part of our heart
lings for the wings to fly


Oh you blessed earthbound angels
souls of light and such old friends
that Reach out to find us
And guide our way to return home again


they scatter petals of such beauty
on the path that leads us on
with blossoms of love we see
that release all that’s burdensome


And we can’t clearly define
The roles we are given to play
But we recognize those who try
To answer the question of why


there are whispers of truth
from the mystic springs of heaven
that with a word can set us free
and Gods angels often come to earth
to share blessings with you and me
