oh to clear the clutter in my mind
to not fight to be reminded
it’s way past time
to let go of all those thoughts
that seem to chain me to the past
to make some space to find
that open door that waiting
to let some light in that invites
a clear vision of what can not be described

it’s a breath
it’s an entertaining role
that sings some meaning to this life
it’s a gate unlocked
it’s a walk in the forest
a field of golden light
that promises things will be alright

it’s a heart that was once hidden
now coming back to life
to find a love that’s written
and the cosmic scheme that listens
to the directions of the soul at night

and the spirit wind blows strong
and breaks the ties that are worn and frayed
and makes some space
to create a new place
where the heart can finally find
a way to be safe and to belong
right here now in this human race
