roll away that stone
Let all the heartbreak be done
find what’s there inside
and that truth that never dies


let that light come in
and let your spirit be given
the opening in your heart
with the power to love again


at this sacred time on earth
there are those in Sri Lanka who still kill
and spread their hatred
to those in church


yet they cannot stop the good
they cannot change the way of love
for we still roll away the stone
and pray for goodwill to shine
forth in our soul


we roll away the stone
we breathe in a prayer peace to be known
we know that a new day has come
and on Easter dawn it’s shown
that Spirit lives forever
in a deeper love that guides us home
